Novritsch HPA SMG-5 Magazine Adapter for SSQ22 GBB

Designed to feed from MP5/SMG-5 AEG mid-cap magazines, the Novritsch HPA SMG-5 Magazine Adapter for SSQ22 GBB increases magazine capacity considerably and allows US Spec air lines to be fitted to provide HPA, a cooldown-free power source. Naturally, the set does not include an air line, bottle, or regulator, so make sure you source these if you aren't already kitted out for HPA.

This adapter is pre-built, making use of a zinc alloy adapter with a flared magazine well for MP5/SMG-5 AEG mid-cap magazines. Novritsch advises using the curved SMG-5 AEG magazines over the straight magazines. The pre-installed HPA connector is US Spec, meaning you'll need a US spec air line along with your usual air bottle and regulator to use this adapter. Also included in the set are an alternative magazine release and recoil spring (for SSQ22), allowing you a bit of breathing room to get your setup performing flawlessly.

The advantages of using HPA when performance is concerned include the elimination of FPS fluctuation due to the "cooldown" effect, resulting in improved shot-to-shot consistency and improved accuracy down range, especially under rapid fire. This adapter also allows you to use curved MP5/SMG-5 AEG mid-cap magazines, giving you a massive capacity boost from the usual SSQ22 or KC-02 GBB magazine. Compatibility-wise, this adapter is designed for the Novritsch SSQ22 but is confirmed to be compatible with the ASG/KJW KC02 GBBR.

A factor to consider if you're moving over to HPA is additional parts wear from doing a lot more shooting than you usually would with a GBBR. This can shorten the lifespan of platforms that haven't been upgraded with HPA use in mind, as such we only recommend this adapter for those who are prepared for potential parts replacement down the line. Remember, the candle that burns twice as bright burns for half as long!
