  • 6.01mm Tightbore inner barrel
  • HPA-Ready - Crazy quiet and accurate

Whether you're already running HPA or you're looking for a super-light, agile sniper platform, the Novritsch SSX10 HPA Bolt Action Sniper Rifle should be in your crosshairs. A superb quality build designed from scratch, the SSX10 puts performance, mobility and modularity first, equipped with the most modern accessory interfaces while keeping the build light as a feather, tipping the scales at a mere 1.9KG!

The SSX10 is designed for use with HPA (high-pressure air) and requires a complete HPA setup to function (air bottle, bottle regulator, line and line regulator). The advantages of HPA in a sniper platform include adjustable FPS by varying input pressure, an easy to cock bolt with very little resistance compared to spring sniper rifles, and an ultra-quiet muzzle report ideal for stealthy playstyles, especially when paired with a suppressor.

Not content with gaining the edge through its HPA power source, the SSX10 has a 6.01mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a high-performance HOP-up bucking, providing truly exceptional range and accuracy with the TDC HOP-up adjusted and high-quality ammo. Whether you're already a seasoned sniper looking for a change or you want to get into sniping with an agility advantage, the Novritsch SSX10 HPA Bolt Action Sniper Rifle is a great choice!

Description

The charging handle is provided separately in the box. When you install it, please note that it has threadlocker pre-applied. Once installed, it will be difficult to remove. Damage from removal and reinstallation is not covered by your usual warranty.

If you're seeking a lighter alternative to a VSR platform with more built-in modularity, the Novritsch SSX10 HPA Bolt Action Sniper Rifle has your name on it! A unique Novritsch design intended to put performance first, the SSX10 makes use of a straight-pull bolt with a super-short throw, allowing you to cock it very quickly with a bit of practice.

On the outside, this agile beast is outfitted for maximum modularity, equipped with an M-LOK handguard for a grip or bipod, a threaded barrel for a suppressor or tracer and a 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface at the rear, ready to rock with cutting-edge MCX and MPX stocks. The upper 20mm Picatinny rail is extended, giving you enough room to fit a scope and Runcam if you set it up right.

Inside, the SSX10 is its own animal, boasting a unique internal mechanism designed from the ground up, offering compatibility with VSR/GBB style HOP-up buckings and inner barrels as a bonus for the upgraders. With a 6.01mm tightbore barrel, a TDC HOP-up able to lift 0.46g BBs and an ultra-light trigger, we're not sure there's a need for upgrades, though Novritsch plans a Green Gas conversion kit, barrel extension kits and a Lever Action conversion kit later down the line!

Starting up front, we have a steel 14mm CCW male thread adapter pre-installed onto the female threaded barrel. If you want to remove the adapter to add one of Novritsch's upcoming barrel extensions, you will likely need to apply some heat to the tip of the barrel. Think boiled kettle or hair dryer, not oven or blowtorch!

The threading allows you to easily mount a tracer unit for an instinctive aiming edge or a suppressor to take full advantage of the SSX10's ultra-quiet HPA action. Being made of robust machined steel will keep these threads functional over the long term, reducing the risk of rounding, as is the case with alloy threading.

Moving rearwards, we come to the outer barrel, a skinny "pencil" profile barrel with stylish fluting cuts running along its length. The slim profile keeps the front end of the SSX10 fast to point, and the fluting adds considerably to the ultra-modern visual language, tying in well with both real steel precision rifles and Novritsch's other replicas.

Running parallel to the barrel just below, we can find the handguard, flawlessly CNC machined from aluminium with a high-quality anodised finish. M-LOK slots are present at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, with two rows of slots on each side to give you more versatility in your accessory placement. We also have a QD sling socket on either side, allowing left or right-handed shooters to add a QD sling swivel and benefit from a quick-detach sling setup.

While it's a great place to mount an M-LOK foregrip or bipod, the handguard is shaped for comfort and feels great to hold, even without accessories. Inside the handguard, the SSX10 is equipped with a green gas tank, though extra parts are required to convert the SSX10 for green gas. These parts are due to drop shortly after release, so hold fire if you plan to run this with green gas.

Next up, we reach the receiver, machined from CNC aluminium with a flawless form and finish. On top, we have an extended 20mm Picatinny rail, giving you extra space compared to a VSR-10 platform, ideal for adding a Runcam and scope setup.

The HOP-up adjustment dial is inset into the top rail, a steel TDC-style adjuster, widely known as the most effective and accurate HOP-up design. Turning the dial allows you to add backspin to your BBs and adjust for different ammo weights. We recommend using at least 0.40g BBs with the SSX10, as its HOP-up effect is incredibly strong, just what a long-range sniper rifle needs!

On the bottom of the receiver, we have the magazine well, positioned in the conventional spot, unlike the VSR-10. The SSX10 uses a similar magazine design to the VSR but requires its own specific magazines with their enhanced feed springs for optimal reliability. The magazine release is a recessed paddle-style release at the front. To release the mag, simply press on the textured section.

Behind the magwell, we come to the pistol grip and trigger guard assembly, made from high-density polymer to keep the build light and agile. The trigger guard is enlarged, allowing easy access to the trigger and plenty of space for full-finger gloves.

The pistol grip is a compact, ergonomic design intended to allow you to get extremely low when shooting lying down, aka the prone position. This is an essential feature for a sniper rifle, but the grip can be swapped out for any M4 GBBR-compatible alternative if you prefer a different style.

On either side of the receiver, you'll notice a cutout with a wider circular section towards the front. This is where you install the charging handle of the SSX10, which is supplied separately in the box. You'll need a flathead screwdriver to mount the charging handle, and its threading has threadlocker pre-applied, so once installed, the handle won't fall out.

Please note that once you've installed the handle, it will be very hard to remove, so make sure you think twice about how you want to run the SSX before screwing it in.

The unique charging handle is a significant change compared to the sniper's standard, the VSR-10. To cock the bolt, pull the handle out, pull it back, push it forward and push the handle back towards the receiver to lock the action. The bolt throw is remarkably short and practically effortless, making the SSX10 far easier to run over long durations.

On either side of the chassis at the rear, we have a QD sling socket, pairing well with the front sling sockets to allow a two-point sling to be fitted. Behind the sling sockets, we have the cutting-edge 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface, a vertically oriented 20mm Picatinny rail which allows ultra-modern MPX and MCX stocks to be fitted.

The 1913 interface gives you a wide variety of aftermarket stock options to choose from, including simple skeletonised stocks for reduced weight, visor stocks for more comfortable use with large full-face protection and even M4/AR-15 stocks which can be mounted with a 1913/20mm Picatinny buffer tube adapter and buffer tube.

Inside, the SSX10 is utterly unique, other than its VSR/GBB-style HOP-up bucking and inner barrel, which are compatible with common aftermarket upgrade parts. You shouldn't need to do any upgrading, as the platform features a 6.01mm tightbore inner barrel and a high-performance HOP-up bucking, which is ideal for up to 0.46g BBs, exactly what a sniper platform needs to stay ahead.

As far as what's to come, we expect parts to convert the SSX10 to green gas, a lever action conversion set and specific outer barrel extensions so you can get the look you want. Naturally, the M4 GBBR-compatible pistol grip, M-LOK handguard and 1913 stock interface add even more customisation options, though all the SSX10 really needs is a good scope!
