If you're sick of running an HPA bottle and line, the PolarStar Airsoft CGS™ Buffer Tube Type 2 for HPA Engine; 12g CO2 eliminates the need entirely! Designed to mount to Tokyo Marui-spec M4 AEGs (modifications required) and the PolarStar MP5K CO2 Stock Adapter, this buffer tube is made from real AR-15 buffer tube blanks, providing a superb quality finish made from the best materials for the job.
The CGS™ interfaces with the PolarStar JACK™, F2™, F1™ or Kythera HPA engines, allowing them to be fuelled using 12g CO2 bulbs. This means you don't need the usual air bottle, regulator and line setup, which can hinder mobility for fast-moving playstyles. If 12g isn't enough for you, add the 33g CO2 Insert to use 33g threaded CO2 bulbs, offering up to 500 shots per fill!

Description
If you’re the type of skirmisher who loves the performance and versatility of an HPA system but hates being tethered to an airline or having a tank screwed into the back of your primary, the PolarStar Airsoft CGS™ was designed specifically with you in mind. Designed to eliminate the need for a bottle and an airline, the CGS™ promotes in-game agility and realism, paired with incredible PolarStar performance!
Externally, the CGS™ is manufactured using a real Milspec buffer tube blank, which has been modified to conceal an adjustable regulator and 12g CO2 cartridge. This allows you to run your HPA system while retaining the same realistic appearance as GBBRs and AEGs, and make use of traditional Milspec M4/AR-15 stocks.
The integral regulator shares the same internal design as PolarStar's other compact regulators and delivers performance on par with systems twice its size. Output pressure ranges from 40-130 PSI, which is easily adjusted using a 3/32 allen key (imperial).
The built-in regulator can be locked out using a standard chrono zip tie, which blocks the adjustment screw for tournament use. If you’re gunning for high FPS, you can install the PolarStar High Pressure Spring (not included), which boosts the maximum output pressure to approximately 200 PSI.
This regulator is coupled with a removable CO2 insert, which is easily installed by sliding the insert into the back of the buffer tube and screwing it into the regulator's ASA threads before being secured with a set screw. This modular design makes the CGS™ a very versatile system, being set up by default for 12g unthreaded CO2 bulbs commonly used in CO2 GBB Pistols, with the option to go big with the 33g CO2 Adapter (not included) and benefit from more shots before replacing the CO2 bulb.
The pre-installed 12g CO2 insert features an integral expansion chamber, anti-siphon system, 5 micron filter and check valve to prevent liquid CO2 from entering the regulator regardless of the rifle's orientation. This safeguards the system from any spikes in pressure.
As an added benefit, the internal check valve also prevents gases from escaping the expansion chamber while switching out CO2 bulbs. This helps conserve CO2 and keeps you covered during an adrenaline-pumped mid-game refill, allowing for several full-power shots using the CO2 inside the expansion chamber.
In order to offer the most realistic experience possible, the CGS™ buffer tube is machined from the same blank, using the same processes, and follows the same specifications as a real Milspec AR-15 buffer tube. This means the CGS is compatible with all real steel AR-15 stocks for Milspec buffer tubes and many M4/AR-15 AEG stocks, though some may not fit due to a lack of standard sizing.
The CGS™ can be used with any of the PolarStar cylinder conversion kits, such as the F2™, F1™, JACK™ or Kythera™ and is compact enough that it can also be used with other similar HPA cylinder systems on the market. If you’re addicted to PolarStar performance but hate the bottle and line, the CGS™ Buffer Tube belongs on your build!
