The Specna Arms CORE™ series is quickly developing a reputation as one of the best options for a new player, or a veteran skirmisher who wants a simple and lightweight backup AEG. Offering a wide variety of styles, the CORE™ series has an AEG to suit any taste! The CORE™ series is well equipped on the inside; boasting a tight bore inner barrel, rotary HOP-up unit, steel gears with 8mm slide bearings, providing everything you'll need to compete in a skirmish.  The SA-C07 sports Specna's lightweight fibre reinforced polymer receiver with a 6 position crane stock and a 10-inch KeyMod handguard styled after the KAC URX4.

Description

As a part of Specna Arms' CORE™ range, the SA-C07 is well equipped on the inside to handle any skirmishing scenario and is dressed to impress on the outside with its lightweight and highly modular KeyMod handguard. The SA-C07 uses the same robust internal setup as the other CORE™ replicas, and the same high density fibre reinforced receiver which provides a scratch-resistant and rock solid build with absolutely zero wobble.

Starting at the tip of the alloy outer barrel we can find an alloy sound amplifier, styled after the famous "Fire Pig" linear compensator, which amplifies the muzzle report of the SA-C07 and gives it an intimidating sound when fired. This can be a massive advantage in CQB if you are a more aggressive player, but if you prefer the sneaky role you can easily swap the sound amplifier out for a tracer unit or suppressor thanks to the outer barrel's common 14mm CCW male threading.

Surrounding the outer barrel we have the ultra slim KeyMod handguard, which is styled after the KAC URX4 and gives the SA-C07 a dynamic, high speed look. The KeyMod attachment interface is present at all points on this rail system other than the 12 o'clock position and allows KeyMod accessories or 20mm Picatinny rail adapters (two of which come pre-installed) to be added for all your mission essentials. The 12 o'clock position provides a full length 20mm Picatinny rail which integrates seamlessly with the receiver rail to allow for longer optical sights to be used, or red dot sight magnifier combos. Along with two KeyMod to Picatinny rail adapters, the SA-C07 also comes with a KeyMod QD sling socket pre-installed on its 3 o'clock KeyMod surface. This sling point can be removed and reinstalled anywhere along the handguard, wherever you need it, and pairs well with the QD sling socket at the toe of the crane stock. Out of the box, the SA-C07 is equipped with a pair of flip-up aperture iron sights, both of which are fully adjustable for windage and elevation. The sights can be deployed by pressing the textured tabs on each, which will snap the sights into position under spring pressure. To stow the sights, simply push them back down and they will lock into place.

As we arrive at the receiver, we see a familiar sight; M4/AR15 controls, with a well placed fire selector sitting beneath a right-handed shooters thumb, a dummy bolt catch in the centre of the receiver on the left side, and the magazine release, which is located on the magazine well on the right side of the AEG. The controls on the SA-C07 are set up for right-handed users but can be operated by a left-handed user without issue after a bit of practice. The fire selector provides 3 modes of fire, SAFE-SEMI, and AUTO, which are denoted by recessed text surrounding the fire selector lever. Each fire mode has a 90-degree throw between, making it super easy to switch from SAFE to SEMI as you bring the AEG up and align the sights. The magazine release is protected by a moulded in "fence" which protects the release from inadvertently being pushed as your rifle brushes against your kit. The charging handle can be found at the top rear of the receiver and features an extended latch which protrudes on the left side for fast access and one-handed operation. When the charging handle is pulled, the dust cover on the right side will open, and the mock bolt carrier will retract, revealing the rotary HOP-up unit within. This device allows the user to adjust the amount of backspin applied to the BB and tune it to provide optimum range and a stable flight path with various weights of BBs. For the SA-C07, we recommend 0.25g for the best combination of projectile speed, wind resistance, and range.

The pistol grip provided on the SA-C07 is an "A2" finger ridged type, with diamond checkering on either side and linear grooves on the rear to provide positive grip. The A2 grip finds its way onto many M4/AR15 AEGs, primarily due to its classic looks and its suitability for a variety of hand types. This grip has a nice large motor adjustment screw, which is great to see as more affordable replicas often use a small grub screw for this role, which we have often found to be inadequate. The SA-C07 also uses the M4/AR15 modular trigger guard system, allowing the trigger guard to be changed out for an enlarged one, as long as the replacement guard is of AEG spec. The pre-installed trigger guard is a standard M4A1 flat type, made from polymer to keep the build lightweight.

Moving to the rear, we can find a 6 position M4/AR15 buffer tube, constructed from the same high density polymer as the receiver. This keeps the build light and prevents your buffer tube from becoming worn from constant stock adjustments, which often removes the finish on metal buffer tubes and makes them look tatty. The crane battery stock runs on this buffer tube and can be adjusted to any of the 6 positions by holding down the textured adjustment lever on the bottom of the stock and adjusting it to the desired length. On either side of the stock, we can find QD sling sockets, which when coupled with a QD sling stud, can provide a flexible sling set up with quick release functionality. This combines perfectly with the QD sling sockets in the Specna Arms angled foregrip to allow the SA-C07 to be set up with a two-point sling. The battery compartment of the SA-C07 is within its crane stock, and can house up to a 7.4V 1300 mAh LiPo battery in nunchuck/crane configuration. The battery compartment can be accessed through the butt plate of the stock. This can be achieved by pushing the two protruding tabs at the toe of the stock together, and then through the stock to the rear, after which the butt plate can be pulled downwards, and removed. With the butt plate removed, you can remove the battery compartment plug, and insert your battery into the "cheeks" of the stock, connecting up the mini-Tamiya connector found inside the buffer tube to your battery.

So, if you have been eyeing up a Specna Arms CORE™ for some time, perhaps this one has the look you have been after? Any CORE™ AEG will be an asset on the skirmish field, and all come ready to impress with robust and long lasting internals and impressive range and accuracy. It all comes down to finding the one you like the look of, and if you haven't seen it yet we think Specna just haven't got to you yet!

Special Instructions

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
