If you are keeping your eye out for a modernised 416 style AEG platform, the Specna Arms SA-H12 ONE™ Carbine would be a fantastic choice. As part of Specna Arms' ONE™ range, the SA-H12 boasts full metal construction and flawless sand blasted and anodised finish across all parts, offering you the choice of tactical black or stylish and modern multi-bronze finish, matching the real rifle perfectly.
On the inside, the SA-H12 is equally impressive, with a reinforced version 2 gearbox equipped with steel gears, 8mm ball bearing bushings, a steel spring guide and the Enter & Convert quick change spring system, allowing for quick and easy power tuning without opening the gearbox.
The most recent batch of SA-H12s has also been upgraded with the latest rotary HOP-up unit design for the M4/AR-15 platform, offering finer increments of adjustment and improved ability to hold its setting under the vibrations of full auto fire. Description
The Specna Arms SA-H12 is a 416 Style Airsoft Assault Rifle, finished off with a lovely sand blasted and anodised coating in either discrete, tactical black or cutting edge multi-bronze. Specna Arms are quickly taking the Airsoft Market by storm and it's safe to say we can barely keep up with these releases!
The H12 is very similar to its brothers and sisters, the H08 / H11 / and H01 as the H-series family all represent a similar aesthetic, just with different features and variations. The H series is based on the real world 416 platform, used by special forces units from almost every Western country and seen as an improvement over the M4/AR-15 thanks to its more reliable short-stroke piston operating system.
The SA-H12 is constructed entirely from metal, excluding the stock and pistol grip which are made from high density polymer, just like the real thing. Full metal construction provides not only super strong and robust build quality but also gives the end user an ultra-realistic handling experience. Weighing in at a perfect 2.7kg, the weight is well distributed across the body of the gun to provide a comfortable and effective feel, making for an awesome "Eyes on, engaging!" moment when you spot your target.
From the front end of the gun you've got the long style 5.56 flash hider, which is fitted to the 14mm CCW thread on the outer barrel. Should you want to add another aftermarket flash hider or suppressor, you can whip the fitted flash hider off and fit whatever you like as long as it's 14mm CCW! Do bare in mind though that the flash hider has a grub screw, and if this is not removed prior to taking the flash hider off you will strip the threads and be left with a thread-less outer barrel! No one wants that!
Following on from the front end you'll meet the lovely SMR style 416 handguard, fitted with 2" and 3" 20mm Picatinny rail sections. The rail sections allow you to fit tactical flashlights, lasers, PEQ boxes and other illumination devices should you wish. These rail sections are also removable, so if you prefer a more streamlined look you can remove them and run the handguard slick!
The receiver meets the handguard in a "monolithic" style and is keyed into the upper receiver, eliminating any chance that the handguard will loosen and rotate. The lengthy 12 o'clock rail allows for red dot sights and scopes to be mounted, with plenty of space for even LPVO and larger optics should the mission require it.
The Upper Receiver contains the Rotary style HOP-up unit which you can access by pulling back the mock charging handle. Doing this will expose a blue rotary adjustment wheel inside the ejection port. The mock bolt carrier will stay back to make adjustments easier, and following adjustment, you can release the bolt and send it forward again by pressing the bolt release either on the right or left side of the gun. The bolt release takes the form of the "ping pong paddle" and is located just above the mag release on the right and on the centre of the receiver on the left side.
The lower receiver features the three-position fire selector with a 90-degree throw between each mode. Available modes of fire include safe, semi-automatic and fully automatic. The selector switch is present on either side of the receiver, just above the pistol grip, making the SA-H12 a great platform for left-handed shooters and those more experienced Airsofters who may want to transition to their weak shoulder to make better use of surrounding cover.
The pistol grip is patterned after the latest 416 design and is constructed from high density polymer with stippling on either side for added grip. The rear of the gun features an ambidextrous buffer plate sling point, allowing a single-point sling to be mounted for CQB use. The handguard also features a QD sling socket on either side, so if you prefer a two-point sling you can install one using an aftermarket QD sling swivel.
At the rear of the SA-H12, we can find the usual stock setup for M4/AR-15 platforms, with a 6-position buffer tube constructed from alloy and a 416-style stock which slides over it. The stock can be adjusted into any of the 6 positions, allowing you to adapt the SA-H12 to suit your body type and loadout, even allowing for bulkier armour and plate carriers. The adjustment lever is located on the bottom of the stock and is designed to be as low profile as possible, eliminating the risk that a snag will slow you down. The stock is also equipped with built-in sling bars, giving you an additional sling option for this already well equipped AEG.
The battery compartment is located inside the stock and is accessible by rotating the butt plate by 90 degrees, after which it can be removed. Inside, you will see a mini-Tamiya battery connector to which you mount your chosen battery. We recommend a 7.4V 1450mAh LiPo battery for the SA-H12 for the best balance between performance and an easy fit. The battery compartment is ideally shaped for NiMh batteries, so if you need a bigger battery, you can run a 9.6V 1600mAh NiMh instead.
Overall this gun is an excellent platform; it's fully ambidextrous meaning all fire controls can be accessed by lefties and right-handed users, has all the features a modern Airsoft player could want, plus, it's lovely to look at! With full compatibility with Tokyo Marui spec AEG upgrade parts and a superb feature set straight out of the box, the SA-H12 ONE™ is a fantastic platform for both the full metal seeking beginner or veteran looking to add an interesting and unique platform to their arsenal!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
