Description
If you're a fan of the reliability and convenience of AEGs but want to step up to a more realistic playstyle, the Trinity Armament ALPHA M4/AR-15 AEG with TITAN II Bluetooth® has your name on it! A full metal build equipped with an M-LOK handguard, 20mm Picatinny railed receiver and a threaded outer barrel, the ALPHA is equipped to win, and inside, it gets even better!
A collaboration between ARCTURUS and Gate, the Trinity Armament ALPHA pairs rock-solid ARCTURUS externals and gearbox components with Gate's CNC compression group parts and the TITAN II Bluetooth® ETU, with the Gate Magazine and Bolt Catch sensors pre-installed.
Also inside the reinforced version 2 gearbox are 13:1 CNC steel high-speed gears, a steel ball bearing spring guide, a polymer piston with a full steel tooth rack and a 6.02mm stainless steel inner barrel. If you're ready to take the next step towards a realistic playstyle, the Trinity Armament ALPHA M4/AR-15 AEG with TITAN II Bluetooth® should be in your sights!
At the front end, we are treated to a unique linear compensator-style muzzle device, which adds an aggressive look to the ALPHA, sitting slightly recessed inside the handguard for an integral look. The recessed nature of this muzzle device means you may need a short 1-inch or 2-inch barrel extension to mount a suppressor or tracer unit.
This muzzle device is made from aluminium alloy, mounted to the alloy outer barrel's 14mm CCW male threading. It measures 31mm in diameter, meaning it can be replaced with the compact EShooter Flare Mono Tracer Unit if you really want to light the enemy up!
Surrounding the muzzle device, we can find short sections of 20mm Picatinny rail machined into the M-LOK/Picatinny hybrid handguard, with QD sling sockets at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions. This means you can mount your flashlight, PEQ box and even a bipod if needed, all without needing 20mm rail adapters.
At the 12 o'clock position, we have a full-length 20mm Picatinny rail, which is perfect for mounting the included flip-up iron sights and meets the receiver rail seamlessly to allow for even the longest of optical sights to be mounted without issues.
To the rear of the Picatinny rails, the handguard tapers to a nice slim C-clampable size, with M-LOK attachment slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, punctuated by weight-reducing handguard vents. This allows you to mount whatever you like to the handguard, either using direct M-LOK-mounted accessories or by adding 20mm Picatinny rail adapters to make use of accessories for 20mm rails.
The upper spine of the handguard is also machined for weight reduction, with circular ports along its entire length. This combination of weight-reducing features makes the ALPHA a pleasure to handle, with no extra weight up front that will become fatiguing over long skirmishes and a light and easy-to-point front end, which is conducive to rapid target-to-target transitions.
The receiver should be a familiar sight to anyone who has handled an M4/AR-15 platform before, constructed from alloy and matching the real M4A1 receiver style perfectly. This includes the reinforced front pinhole, mil-spec flat trigger guard, magazine release fence and low-profile charging handle latch.
On the top, the receiver boasts a 20mm Picatinny rail which mates seamlessly with the handguard rail, providing plenty of space for optical sights of practically any type. The magazine release is a standard push-through AR-style release on the left side of the receiver, but can be swapped out for ambidextrous alternatives designed for M4/AR-15 AEGs.
The fire selector switch is positioned just above the pistol grip on the left side, offering 3 fire mode positions in a SAFE-SEMI-AUTO layout. This is a standard M4/AR-15 selector switch, with a 90-degree throw between each mode and a textured surface for traction in all weather conditions. Being fitted with the Gate TITAN II Bluetooth® means you can program the fire controls for a wide variety of alternative modes, including burst modes, binary trigger and more!
The charging handle can be found at the top rear of the receiver and, as mentioned, features the mil-spec low-profile charging handle latch to reduce snagging potential. Pulling the charging handle back will pop the dust cover open and retract the black-finished mock bolt, revealing the rotary HOP-up unit on the right side.
The HOP-up allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your projectiles and tune the ALPHA for different ammo weights, looking for the flattest possible trajectory. When you've completed your adjustments, you can slap the "ping pong paddle" style bolt release catch on the left side of the receiver to drop the mock bolt with a satisfying metal-on-metal "clank".
The bolt catch is fitted with the Gate Bolt Catch Sensor, paired with the Magazine Sensor, meaning when your mag runs dry, the ALPHA AEG will stop firing. Once you've inserted a loaded mag, hit the bolt catch to get shooting again.
This works just like a real AR-15, giving realism fiends a more reliable alternative to a GBBR with the same thrilling in-game experience. The magazine sensor also prevents the ALPHA from shooting when the mag is removed.
The pistol grip of the ALPHA is an ergonomic design with a filled backstrap and provides a comfortable hold over extended periods. The grip is bevelled in the area where it meets the receiver to reduce hot spots, which cause discomfort over long durations, and has deep linear grooves on the front and rear strap to promote effective grip in all weather conditions.
The trigger guard is a KAC-style enlarged guard, allowing ease of access to the trigger even if you wear thick gloves when skirmishing, and also has a relief cut machined into it to provide a spot for your trigger finger to rest when it isn't on the trigger, sending rounds at the unfortunate enemy!
At the rear, we are equipped with an M4/AR-15 6-position buffer tube, allowing for aftermarket M4/AR-15 AEG stocks to be mounted in seconds for those who have a preferred stock option. The stock which comes with the ALPHA is a slimline, low-profile stock with a QD sling socket on either side and a low-profile adjustment lever with texture to aid adjustments with wet hands.
The butt plate is constructed from rubber with a linear gripping texture for easy shouldering with body armour. The stock also has ports throughout its design, which reduce weight but also provide a handy attachment point for those who prefer a silent sling solution rigged up with the help of paracord.
The battery compartment is inside the stock, accessible by turning the dial on the butt plate by 90 degrees, after which the butt plate will hinge open. Inside, you'll find a Deans connector. We recommend a 7.4V 1200mAh LiPo for the ALPHA AEG for an easy fit and flawless performance.
Inside, we're in for a treat with the ALPHA AEG! Starting with ARCTURUS' contribution, the reinforced version 2 gearbox features an alloy shell, a steel ball-bearing quick-change spring guide, 13:1 ratio high-speed CNC steel gears and a polymer piston with a full 14-tooth rack of robust MIM steel teeth. The pre-installed motor is a beastly 23TPA high-torque example, making use of Neodymium magnets.
Solid stuff so far, made even better with a sprinkling of Gate technology. The CNC Nova trigger provides lightning-fast looks and maximum comfort no matter how fast you tap it. The Protector CNC cylinder head prevents air leaks for maximum efficiency and accuracy. The piston head is Gate's "High-speed" piston head, CNC machined from POM for a balance of strength and speed.
Last but not least, the Gate TITAN II Bluetooth® takes centre stage, Gate's flagship MOSFET with more functionality and adjustable parameters than most will ever need. The TITAN II connects directly to Bluetooth with no extra bits to buy, allowing you to tune trigger sensitivity, customise fire modes and get as technical as you want to.
Naturally, the Bolt Catch Sensor and Magazine Sensor pair with the TITAN II to provide realistic bolt catch functionality, cutting off power until the bolt catch is pressed when your magazine runs dry. With the magazine removed, the AEG won't shoot, a big step up in realism which few AEGs can match!
If you're ready to challenge yourself with the most realistic in-game experience but don't want to leave behind the inherent convenience and reliability of an electric power source, the Trinity Armament ALPHA M4/AR-15 AEG with TITAN II Bluetooth® was made with you in mind. The pairing of ARCTURUS' rock-solid, proven gearbox and external parts with precision CNC-machined Gate compression parts and the incredible TITAN II ETU is a match made in heaven!
