Vector Optics Forester 1-5x24 SFP LPVO

The Vector Optics Forester 1-5x24 SFP LPVO is one of the finest scopes that can be had for the price. Ideally suited for Airsoft DMR rifles and sniper setups, but equally at home on an Air rifle or Crossbow, the 1-5x magnification grants the ideal level of flexibility for medium to long-range engagements, as well as target identification. The scope includes everything you'll need to mount it to any Airsoft rifle with a 20mm Picatinny scope rail.

The scope is constructed from high-quality aluminium with an anodised finish, with all the adjustment markings crisply engraved, simplifying this scope's plethora of advanced features. Both the objective and eye lens are Fully Multi-coated (FMC), which reduces reflective loss and improves light transmission, allowing this scope to provide excellent optical clarity.

The scope's monotube is 30mm in diameter, allowing it to be mounted with any 30mm scope rings, including SPR-style mounts, though Vector has provided a set of 0.8" low-profile mount rings in the box so you can get shooting straight away! The included scope rings mount to any 20mm Picatinny rail and are secured with thumbscrews, which can be tightened by hand or with tools for extra security.

One of the most impressive features of this scope is its very long eye relief (the distance your eye needs to be from the lens in order to get a clear sight picture. Being a whopping 4", you will never find yourself leaning further and further into the sight, trying to get a clear picture. The reticle simply pops up as you raise your rifle, clear as day!

The scope's adjustment controls can be found midway down the monotube, providing adjustment for elevation, windage, and illumination. The elevation turret is on the top, and the windage turret is on the right side of the optic. These turrets can be adjusted without tools, allowing easy adjustment on the fly, but can be locked down once the adjustment is complete to ensure the sight's zero will not be accidentally interfered with.

To adjust the optic, pull upwards on the turret you are adjusting, after which the turret can be rotated to the desired adjustment and pushed back down, locking it into place. The illumination adjustment can be found on the left side of the optic and provides 11 different brightness settings for the centre dot of the optic.

The illumination level can be adjusted by turning the turret, allowing the optic to be used in different lighting conditions. The battery compartment is in the illumination adjustment turret and houses a single CR2032 button cell (not included). To access the battery compartment, simply unscrew the threaded cap.

At the base of the "eye bell" of the scope, we can find the magnification adjustment ring, which features an extension for fast adjustment. The magnification adjustment ring rotates around the circumference of the scope and provides variable power settings between 1 and 5x.

The 1x setting is not true 1x magnification, and is closer to 1.25x, but can easily be used in the same way an RDS would in an emergency situation, with the illumination function turned on and both eyes open to provide a close-range sighting solution. The magnification adjustment ring also features linear grooves, adding to the ease of adjustment already provided by the extension.

Surrounding the eye lens, at the rear of the scope, we can find the focus adjustment dial, which can be used to clarify the image at different ranges. Similar to the magnification adjustment dial, this dial rotates around the circumference of the scope and is helpfully marked with a +/- to indicate the direction of adjustment. When not in use, the included polymer lens caps can be installed to protect the glass from damage during storage or transport.
