The set includes a pair of high-profile scope rings constructed from alloy, giving you everything you need to start sniping straight away, provided your primary has a 20mm Picatinny receiver rail. The aluminium monotube of this scope measures 30mm in diameter, meaning it is compatible with aftermarket 30mm scope rings if you prefer a lower or higher mounting position.

Windage and elevation are both adjustable via the turrets on the right side and top, respectively. To apply windage adjustments, simply lift the turret, rotate it until you're in the right spot, then pop it down again to lock your adjustment in place. To adjust elevation, simply turn the turret counterclockwise until you're on target. You won't need tools to do this, either, meaning quick adjustments mid-game are a go and you aren't left guessing if you forget your toolbox on game day!

Being a high-end scope designed for precise work at long distances, the elevation adjustment turret works a bit differently from most Airsoft scopes. It features what is known as a "zero-stop" function, which means the dial can only be turned one way. This helps prevent over-adjustment, which can damage the scope's delicate internals.

The elevation dial also includes a "revolution indicator", designed so you can keep track of how many full revolutions of the elevation turret have been applied. The indicator is on the rear of the turret base, taking the form of a gauge with numerical markings. This is primarily for long-range shooting with air rifles and real steel, but it is a neat extra function we Airsofters rarely encounter.

The turret on the left side of the monotube allows you to adjust the parallax of the scope. Parallax is the way something appears to move when you change your viewpoint. In Airsoft terms, this basically means that at different ranges or if you adjust your position looking down the scope, the crosshair or target can appear blurry. The parallax adjustment allows you to ensure you're always in focus, no matter the range or position of your eye.

The illumination adjustment dial and battery compartment are at the tip of the turret on the left side. Turning the outermost dial allows you to choose the intensity/brightness level of the VSE-7 reticle, offering 6 brightness settings so you get a clear view of the precise 0.15 MOA centre dot in any ambient lighting conditions. The battery compartment is inside the turret; simply unscrew the cap with a flat tool to access it and install your CR2032 button cell (not included).

At the eyepiece, there are two adjustment dials; the one closer to the centre of the scope is the zoom adjustment dial, allowing you to quickly change between different levels of zoom with a simple twist. Then, at the very rear, we come to the fast-focus adjustment dial, which helps sharpen the image and reticle at both close and long range.

Like the magnification dial, the fast-focus dial is textured for flawless gripping qualities and is a radial adjuster, meaning it rotates around the circumference of the scope. Special Instructions

The adjustment turrets of the Sentinel work differently from most Airsoft scopes. The turret on the right side (windage) is a locking turret and must be pulled out slightly before adjustments are applied. The turret on the top (elevation) features a zero-stop function, which means it can only be turned one way (counterclockwise).
