A versatile, modern take on the old-school right-angle flashlights regularly seen in 1990s era military equipment, the Compact II offers white, blue, red and infrared LED light sources controlled through an intuitive rotary dial/switch combination.
The unit is powered by a single CR123a or AA cell (not included), giving you two battery options to choose from. On the rear of the Compact II, we have a built-in clip designed to mount to MOLLE webbing but also capable of being hooked on a belt or pocket. Also included in the set, we are treated to additional mounts for MICH and FAST helmets, an NVG Shroud mount, an elastic headstrap and a 20mm Picatinny rail mount. Description
If you're looking for a functional finishing touch for your helmet or rig, the WADSN SW Compact II Hands Free Head Torch is a solid choice. Made from fibreglass-reinforced polymer and packaged with a variety of mounting options, this versatile little head torch offers white light illumination along with red, blue and IR LEDs and is powered by either a CR123a or AA cell (not included).
The head of the Compact II is mounted on a hinge, meaning it can be rotated through 180 degrees so you can control light direction with ease. When fitted to the NVG shroud mount, helmet mount or 20mm rail mount, you can also rotate the entire light laterally, allowing it to fit around other equipment and face any direction.
To attach the Compact II to any of the included mounts, simply press the steel hook on the rear of the unit onto the mount, indexing the larger hole on its surface with the steel outdent in the centre of the mount, then sliding it into the locked position.
Mode selection is carried out using the rotary dial on the side of the Compact II; simply turn the dial to your chosen mode. A click on the centre of the dial will turn the light on. A double click will activate strobe mode, and you can also adjust brightness/intensity with a press and hold. The battery compartment is located inside the rear section, accessible with the captive battery cap removed. You can use either a CR123a or AA battery, at your discretion.
