Description

This Airsoft Electric Gun is an absolutely stunning replica of the L85A3, which is the British Army's current Standard Issue Rifle. The 'A3' variant has only recently come into service, and features a lightweight KeyMod Handguard as part of the upgrade, amongst other tweaks including a Receiver redesign.

Realism is the name of the game with the Ares L85A3 AEG, and is largely benefitted by an Electronic Blowback System that will move the Mock Bolt whilst you are firing the Gun, make the Gun rattle in your shoulder and putting a huge smile on your face. The Bolt Stop is functional and will lock open when you have run out of rounds, prompting you to install a new Magazine and release the Bolt. As you would expect of a top-quality Ares product, it is operated by a Microswitch Trigger for a fast Trigger Response, and features the E.F.C.S. (Electronic Fire Control System) in the Gearbox, which allows for programming of the Fire Selector with a (separately available) Ares Amoeba/EFCS Programmer Box. You'll be pleased to know that this Airsoft Gun is ready for 11.1v LiPo Batteries, which are to be installed in the Pistol Grip by removing the Baseplate. Inside you will find a Mini Tamiya Connector; just ensure that your Battery can fit in the roughly 10cm Battery Space. The Pistol Grip goes all the way through to the inside of the Receiver, so you have some excess space at the top of the Pistol Grip.

The construction of the L85A3 is second to none. CNC Aluminium has been used for the lightweight KeyMod Handguard, which features KeyMod slots at the 3 and 9 o'clock position, with 20mm RIS/RAS on top and below. A set of Flip Up Ironsights are installed on the top rail out of the box. The Receiver is made from Stamped Steel, just like the real thing, which provides a great amount of strength, and a very realistic finish. A 14mm CW Thread can be found at the end of the Outer Barrel, accessed by simply unscrewing the Flash Hider. Remember that CW is the inverse of most Suppressors, and will require an adapter or a 14mm CW specific Suppressor.

Internally, the quality does not stop. The Gearset is the beating heart of what keeps your AEG turning over, and this Gear Set has been made from Steel, to last as long as possible. An adjustable HOP Unit can be found behind the Charging Handle, which can be used to adjust your BBs flight path and achieve better consistency. A 'Rapid Velocity Tuning System' allows you to quickly make small adjustments to your Output Power, by tightening/loosening the Spring Guide, with the Butt Pad removed. This is great for those who like to be right up against the power limit, allowing you to squeeze every single FPS out of it.

The Hard Case that it all comes supplied in is formed specifically for the L85A3, and has a groove for it all to fit inside. This is absolutely perfect for transporting your Gun to an Airsoft Game, given how low profile and lightweight the Case is. Included in the box are two 130rnd Mid Cap Magazine with a modern P-Mag style design.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
