Full description

Description

Love them or hate them, bullpups are certainly a unique design in terms of functionality and ability to turn heads on the field. With customisation options for every occasion and a sleek but tough full metal build, this AUG takes skirmishing to that level, it's compact design only adds to the wide range of skirmishes this rifle could see deployed in, the most obvious of which is of course CQB encounters. The rifle is of full metal construction with the rails, flash hider and sights built from alloy. This gives the AUG a beautiful sleek look as well as giving it a balanced weight that is easy to manipulate.

At the front of the barrel is the flash hider, below which is a 20mm lower RIS rail for use with attaching handguards or torches. Behind this along the sides of the body are 4 more RIS rails at alternating 45 degree angles, allowing for a full range of tactical equipment to complement your loadout. These side rails are most suited for lasers and PEQ units but with this amount of rail space at varying degrees of elevation and angle the possibilities are truly endless! And it doesn't stop there, a RIS rail features along the entirety of the barrel and body of the AUG, giving it a monolithic and sleek look, but more importantly it is where the included ironsights are attached. These sights are again built from fully metal alloy and are of open ironsight design, with the rear sight having a flip up design with 2 settings, as well as the rear sight being left / right adjustable.

Above the trigger is the mock charging handle that, when pulled back opens the mock ejection port, within which the HOP unit is housed. The HOP up unit is a rotary drum design which can be adjusted for shot windage and elevation. The trigger itself is a two stage trigger type, meaning that a half pull of the trigger results in semi automatic shooting, whereas a full trigger pull results in fully automatic firing. This is of course regulated by the ambidextrous safety switch located just behind the trigger, easily accessed with the thumb or finger.

While it is something of a marmite feature, we come to the AUG's bullpup magazine configuration the receiver of which is behind the trigger. For you non believers this setup is worth trying at least, maybe you can be converted! Included with this rifle is a 300rnd high capacity magazine. The mag release is located behind the magazine receiver with an enlarged design common on most bullpups to allow for ease and high speed reloading to keep you in the action and shooting in skirmishes.

Internally the R609 boasts a V3 gearbox and MOSFET. The battery is located in the rear of the stock behind the rubberised butt plate. The battery connector is that of a mini Tamiya connector and is used with either a NiMh or LiPo battery in stick configuration.

To summarise, this R906 is for those of you that operate a little differently. With option for intricate automation and tinkering in the form of multiple rails to make this bullpup configuration even more efficient. Especially so with it's compact design that is perfectly weighted thanks to it's full metal components, meaning you'll be as efficient as can be in CQB skirmishes with an assault rifle that's practically the size of an SMG!

Special Instructions

The AUG trigger is a two stage design, which means that a half pull of the trigger does single shot, and a complete trigger pull will fire full auto. There is no fire selector, only the trigger to use different fire modes. This can be an issue for CQB sites that require semi-auto only, and we can't guarantee that you'll be allowed to use this replica at a single shot only site.
