Description

The CM.098B Platinum Edition is another fantastic offering from CYMA which represents amazing value for money, coupled with quality internal and external construction which is suitable for both beginners and seasoned players looking for something extra special. It is a convincing replica of the AR-10 platform, which is a 7.62mm Receiver M4 platform rifle.

The rifle is almost completely made from Aluminium externally, with the exception of a high density Polymer Pistol Grip and Stock, which look and feel amazing. The free-floating outer barrel assembly features an AAC style Flash Hider at the end which can accept Quick Release Suppressors, but can also be unscrewed to reveal a 14mm CCW Thread for standard Airsoft Suppressors. The 16" Handguard is an M-LOK design which can accept Rail Adaptors or M-LOK compatible accessories, and also features a QD Sling Socket for the use of Quick Release Slings. The top of the Handguard has a 20mm rail which runs all the way to the rear of the Receiver, and comes with a set of Flip Up Ironsights installed out of the box. 

The Receiver is a 7.62mm design which features an ambidextrous Fire Selector, which is suitable for both left and right handed players. Pull back the charging handle at the rear to reveal a Rotary Hop adjustment wheel inside the dust cover. The mock bolt will lock to the rear and can be released by pressing the Bolt Release Button on the nearside of the Receiver. The rear of the Receiver features an Ambidextrous Sling Plate which can accept Slings from either side of the gun, improving its usefulness for left handed players. 

The Sliding Stock at the rear of the gun is where the Battery is stored, and houses a Mini Tamiya connector. The Battery Compartment is easily accessed by pulling down the latch and opening the Butt Pad. The Stock is perfectly suited to a Crane Stock style Battery. The Stock also has a QD Sling Socket to be used in conjunction with the front socket, for those who want to add QD Sling Points.

Internally, this Airsoft Electric Gun has a wealth of up-rated goodies which make the replica excellent value for money. The inner barrel is a 500mm 6.03mm precision barrel, the reinforced V2 gearbox features a full Steel teeth Polycarbonate Piston, CNC Machined Steel Gear Set (13:1) 8mm bearings, CNC Machined Aluminium Silent Cylinder and Piston Head, Bearing Spring Guide and a High Torque Motor. The Gearbox is a Quick Change Spring design for easy power changes, and the combined MOSFET and Microswitch Trigger make for an excellent Trigger Pull and user experience, with features such as low-voltage cutoff to prevent locking of the gears, a common fault with other brand SR-25 rifles.

Included in the box is a 500rnd 7.62x51mm style magazine, which is a high cap design that requires BBs to be poured in from the top and then wound at the bottom via the clockwork wheel to feed BBs into the gun. Also included is a 9.6v 1200mAh NiMH battery and a basic EU Pin Charger. If you're looking for a .308 AR platform rifle, and don't want to have to mess around with upgrades out of the box then the CM.098B Platinum Edition is a solid choice, regardless of whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned pro looking for the next best thing.

Special Instructions

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.
