Description
The Package
The CM.506 M4A1 RIS CQB AEG is a lightweight polymer battery-powered M4 rifle with semi-auto and full auto-fire modes. It's based on the Tokyo Marui M4 internal design, meaning aftermarket upgrades are plentiful, as are parts for repairs and customisation. With 20mm Picatinny rails on the handguard and receiver, the CM.506 is ready for any 20mm Picatinny accessories you choose to mount, including red dot sights and scopes, vertical and angled foregrips and even lasers and flashlights for CQB scenarios. We've been very impressed with the performance-to-price ratio of the CYMA Sport series, and while they may be cheaper than alternatives, they are still competitive in game!
The included 9.6v NiMH Battery will improve trigger response, rate of fire and longevity when compared to the battery included with the CYMA Sport. The included battery charger is simple and safe to use, especially when paired with the included Battery Safe Charging Bag.
Delta Armory's 0.25g BBs are some of the best on the market, great for both indoor skirmishes at close range, outdoor engagements or long-range target shooting. Being a bag of 1KGs worth, you should be able to get quite a lot of trigger time in before you need to reload, even if you've got a heavy trigger finger!
NUPROL's Pro Mesh Goggles are easily capable of withstanding Airsoft projectiles and keeping you safe while you shoot. We do, however, recommend also picking up a lower face or full face mask if you're planning on attending skirmishes.
Built to make Airsoft more affordable than ever before, this Airsoft beginner bundle includes everything you'll need to get started with safety as a priority.
Why you'll love it
- Ready to play: Includes battery, charger, BBs, and a High-capacity mag - No need to buy extras to get started.
- Easy to upgrade later: Standard Tokyo Marui spec parts and a Version 2 gearbox make future upgrades straightforward and parts easy to source.
- Good accuracy out of the box: Tightbore barrel + Rotary HOP-up + 0.25 g BBs = Better groupings, range and efficiency for typical outdoor/indoor play.
- Light and robust: Fibre reinforced polymer keeps its weight manageable for long skirmishes while being scratch-resistant and tough enough for regular use. Add a metal body later if you want more realism.
- Customisable: 20mm Picatinny rails let you add a sight, torch or foregrip easily, without special tools.
- 12-Month Warranty: We've got you covered for faults within the first 12 months of use. Find out more here

Quick Start Guide
- Charge your Battery: Place your battery inside your Battery Safe Charging Bag. Next, plug your charger into a 3-Plug UK wall socket and connect the Mini-Tamiya connector to the one on your battery. Your charger will cut off when your battery reaches capacity, but you should never leave it on charge unattended. Using the included Battery and Charger, the charge time is approximately 6 hours. Use the formula below to calculate charge time for different batteries:
(Battery capacity mAh / charge rate mA) x 1.5 = Hours to charge
- Load your magazine: Open the feed hatch on the top of your High-cap magazine. Pour BBs in until full.
- Wind your magazine: Wind the wheel on the bottom of your magazine 5-10 times or until the noise changes and the wheel becomes firm.
- Put on your Eye Protection: Safety when using Airsoft guns should be your number 1 priority. Always wear eye protection before loading your AEG and ensure any spectators are also protected.
- Connect your battery: Remove the butt plate from your stock by pressing the tabs on either side at the "toe" of the stock, pushing the tabs through to the rear, then lifting it free. Inside the central tube, you'll find the Mini-Tamiya connector. Position each of the cell groups of your battery inside the tubes on either side of the stock, then connect the Mini-Tamiya connectors. With your wiring neatly tucked in, replace the butt plate.
- Insert your magazine: With the fire selector switch set to "SAFE" and the barrel pointed in a safe direction with your finger off the trigger, insert your magazine by pushing it up into the magazine well.
- You're now ready to shoot! - Never shoot at animals or humans who aren't in an Airsoft skirmish

FAQ
Q: What Ammo/BBs do I need?
A: You'll need 6mm plastic Airsoft BBs between 0.20g and 0.28g in weight. This bundle includes 4000 x 0.25g BBs, which is plenty for a full day of outdoor play or several short CQB sessions. Never attempt to shoot any form of metal ammo or "paint" ammo, as these are not designed for Airsoft AEGs and will cause internal damage.
Q: What battery do I need?
A: This Beginner Bundle includes the correct 9.6V 1600mAh NiMH battery and a NiMH charger for the CYMA CM.506 AEG. We chose a NiMH battery as they are more robust and user-friendly than equivalent LiPo batteries.
Q: How old do I need to be to buy and use an Airsoft gun?
A: Airsoft guns can be legally purchased by anyone over 18, but can be used by anyone of any age. We recommend adult supervision for users under 14 years old, at the parents' discretion. Most skirmish sites have a minimum age of 14 or over for attendees, some of which require under-18s to attend with an adult.
Q: Can I buy this for someone else?
A: Yes, provided you are over 18 and either have a Specific Defence under the VCRA, or choose a "Two-tone" colour variant.
Q: Do I need a UKARA or a License?
A: Not necessarily. You’ll need a UKARA membership or other valid defence under the VCRA to buy realistic colours (Black, Tan, etc.). Two-tone options can be purchased without UKARA. There’s no license required to own or buy Airsoft guns.
Q: Does it hurt to get shot with this?
A: It can sting, similar to a rubber band snap on bare skin, but less than a paintball. The sensation depends on distance, clothing, and protective gear. Airsoft guns produce muzzle energy around 1/14th of the average Paintball Marker, so hits hurt far less than hits from paintballs.
Q: Is an Airsoft gun dangerous?
A: Only if misused. Airsoft guns must never be brandished in public or in an area visible from public land. When transporting an Airsoft gun, ensure it is unloaded and concealed in a gun bag or case. When shooting, both the shooter and any spectators must use eye protection. It is also important that you don't shoot at targets beyond your property boundary. Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
