If you're searching for an affordable but reliable NiMH charger for Airsoft batteries, you're in luck! The Ghost 8-12V NiMH/NiCd Battery Charger; Mini-Tamiya is a simple NiMH/NiCd battery pre-wired to a mini-Tamiya battery connector, featuring an L.E.D indicator light which glows red during charging and turns green when charging is complete.
The Ghost charger is capable of charging 8.4V, 9.6V and 10.8V NiMH and NiCd batteries and has a charge rate of 400mA/0.4A, making it a fair bit faster to charge than comparable simple chargers. You can find the formula to work out the charge duration for all compatible batteries in the "Full Description".
As with all batteries and chargers, we recommend using a Battery Safe Charging Bag and never leaving a battery on charge unattended. It also goes without saying, but you should never attempt to charge any Lithium battery (LiPo, Li-ion or LiFe) using this charger. If you don't know why, trust us, you don't want to find out!

Special Instructions
The standard formula for charging NiMH batteries can be found below:
(Battery capacity mAh / charge rate mA) x 1.5 = Hours to charge
If you are charging a 9.6V 1600mAh NiMH battery using this charger (which has a 0.4A/400mA charge rate), your formula will be as follows:
(Battery capacity 1600 mAh / charge rate 400mA) x 1.5 = 6 Hours to charge

MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT CHARGER TYPE FOR THE CORRECT BATTERY
Airsoft Battery should only be charged with the chargers as they are specifically designed to work with the specific voltages required by the battery.
Different battery types have different chemical configurations, and require certain chargers to charge them. Charging a battery with the wrong charger can cause damage to the battery and charger, and can cause fires and further damage. Please ensure that before charging you double check that you are using the correct charger.
If your charger supports multiple battery types always ensure that it is on the correct settings before starting the charge.
We always recommend charging LiPos and other batteries in a charging bag.
