Lancer Tactical LTX Competition GBB Pistol

Starting at the front, we can find a polymer thread protector with 14mm CCW male barrel threads beneath. This means tracer units, suppressors or other muzzle devices can be attached easily, depending on the mission requirements. 

The front of the slide is equipped with stylish serrations on each side, with ports just behind to reduce weight for improved gas efficiency and cyclic rate. The front and rear sights are also equipped with red light-enhancing inserts, making them superb for low-light scenarios and fast target acquisition. 

Moving along the outer barrel, we come to the red dot sight mounting plate, designed for either RMR, Docter, STS2 or Shield RMS footprints using the included inserts. The red dot mount is static, meaning fast follow-up shots are easy and the red dot is easy to track, even when putting down full-auto bursts!

The TDC HOP-up adjuster is inside the chamber and accessible with the slide locked back, making it not only more effective than standard pistol HOP-ups but far easier to access for mid-game adjustments. The HOP-up allows you to tune the flight path of your BBs for various weights of ammo, seeking the flattest possible trajectory. The benefit of a TDC HOP-up design is its stronger HOP-up effect, ideal for heavy BBs (0.28g+) and its direct application of pressure to the top of each BB, improving accuracy considerably.

Moving rearward, we come to the rear of the slide, which is considerably lighter than full-sized slides thanks to its significant weight reduction. This results in a faster cyclic rate and better gas efficiency. Either side features deep and grippy serrations for maximum control, matching the angle of the front serrations for a completed look. On the rear left side of the slide, we can find the fire selector switch, which offers either semi-auto or full-auto, designed similarly to that of a Glock 18C but protruding to the rear instead of the front. This makes it easier to access under pressure, especially when wearing gloves.

Moving down to the frame, we can find a unique ergonomic design which fits the hands well, presenting all of the controls well within reach, even for those with smaller hands. The slide lock/release catch is constructed from steel and is present on either side, similar to the latest Gen.5 Glock design. 

At the front of the frame, we’re equipped with a 20mm Picatinny frame rail, allowing a tactical flashlight or laser aiming module to be fitted for primary pistol duty. This is a true Picatinny rail, meaning you’ll get a firm fit for your accessories without needing adapters.

Inside the trigger guard, we can find the trigger and the disassembly catch, allowing you to quickly remove the LTX Competition slide for maintenance. To release the slide, the hammer must be uncocked and the magazine removed. 

With the pistol in this state, simply pull the disassembly catch down and lift the slide off, revealing the frame and slide internals, ready for cleaning and lubrication. To reassemble the LTX Competition, the hammer must also be uncocked. The trigger itself is a wide, curved design with a remarkably light pull and short reset; exactly what we expect from a competition-optimised GBB pistol!

The mag release is a push-through button on the left side of the grip, designed to be easily accessed without risking inadvertent mag drops. At the rear of the frame, we have a low-profile manual safety catch also mirrored on each side, allowing you to carry the LTX Competition "cocked and locked" to avoid accidental discharges.

The grip itself is a comfortable design with crackle-textured panels on the sides, front and rear, providing positive traction with or without gloves. The trigger guard is a modern recurved design ideal for modern shooting holds, giving you a bit more purchase to keep the muzzle under control during rapid strings of fire. 

At the base of the grip, we can find a lanyard loop designed to fit a retention lanyard. If you're going into the woods with the LTX Competition, we wholeheartedly recommend a lanyard, keeping your pistol tethered to your belt so it doesn't get lost in the leaf litter!

Inside, the LTX Competition is designed for pure performance, equipped with a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel and TDC HOP-up unit for incredible long-range effect on target. This is made all the sweeter thanks to its fixed outer barrel and weight-reduced slide, keeping the barrel straight and true throughout the cycle for accuracy that other GBB pistols can only dream of. The lightweight slide provides a significant gas efficiency advantage over other designs, which really comes out when full-auto is used; this is one of the few full-auto GBB pistols which keeps its accuracy and range in the fun mode!
