Olight Osight X Micro Red Dot Sight

If you're after a micro red dot sight with real steel robustness, the Olight Osight X Micro Red Dot Sight belongs on your build! Designed to mount to RMR footprint red dot plates by default, but suitable for 20mm Picatinny rail-equipped rifles and SMGs when paired with a 20mm Picatinny rail mount (available separately), the Osight X features a parallax-free reticle, manual or automatic brightness adjustment, 12 intensity settings with 2 for use with Night Vision and an innovative Magnetic Charging Cover which recharges the Osight X's internal battery when installed.

Windage and elevation adjustment are provided by a dial on the right side and top, respectively, adjustable using a flathead screwdriver or the included adjustment tool. Each adjustment click moves the reticle in the chosen direction by 1MOA, with a total of 45MOA travel range.

Reticle options can be altered through various button press combinations (see the included user manual for more info), offering a simple 3MOA dot, a 32MOA circle, or both combined, holosight-style. The dot itself is ideal for precise shooting at Airsoft engagement distances, while the ring is fantastic for rapid fire at close-range targets. Use both at the same time, and you've got the best of both worlds!

On the left side of the sight, you'll find the brightness adjustment controls, which double as setting keys for the auto-brightness adjustment mode and motion sensor activation mode. Between the rubber buttons, we're also treated to a colour-changing LED which indicates current battery charge level, meaning you'll never get caught out with a dead battery as long as you're keeping an eye on the indicator.

With the auto-brightness setting turned on, the Osight X will automatically adjust to suit your current ambient lighting conditions almost instantly, saving you time fiddling with brightness settings as you move through a dark building into the bright outdoors. When motion sensor mode is active, the Osight X will automatically activate with the last-used settings when motion is detected, saving battery power and ensuring that when you raise your platform, the reticle is ready to rock.

The most innovative aspect of the Osight X is the included Magnetic Charging Cover, boasting an integral 800mAh battery which will charge the Osight X's internal 170mAh battery 3 times over, without itself needing to be recharged. The cover is recharged using the included USB Type-C cable and is designed to be installed while the optic is mounted, shaped to avoid impinging on suppressor height or standard height iron sights.

Amongst its biggest boasts, the Olight Osight X is rated IPX6 water resistant, meaning skirmishes in heavy rain are well within its design parameters. Its Magnetic Charging Cover is rated IPX4, meaning if it takes a splash, it will shrug it off. Like most electronic sighting systems, the Osight X is not intended to be fully submerged, so we recommend avoiding amphibious operations with this optic, despite its robust nature!
