Specna Arms CORE™ 1.5-5X32IR LPVO Scope

Whether you love the looks of LPVO-style scopes or you need a versatile optic which can handle threats at any range, the Specna Arms CORE™ 1.5-5X32IR LPVO Scope belongs on your build! Made from aluminium with alloy scope rings for 20mm Picatinny rails included, this scope is ready to mount on any 20mm Picatinny-railed platform and is even supplied with a CR2032 button cell to get you started!

This type of scope is known as an LPVO (Low Power Variable Optic), intended to be capable of both close and long-range engagements. This is achieved through a mix of magnification adjustment from 1.5 up to 5 x and long eye relief, meaning on 1.5x zoom, you can run this scope with both eyes open as you would with a red dot sight. 

At the front of the scope, we can find the objective lens, with a wide 32mm diameter, to encourage maximum light transmission for a clear view downrange. The monotube of this LPVO is 30mm in diameter, meaning that if you prefer a single-piece scope mount, you can use one for 30mm tubes instead of the included scope rings.

The adjustment turrets can be found in the centre of the scope monotube, offering illumination adjustment on the left side, with windage and elevation on the right side and top, respectively. The windage and elevation turrets feature protective caps, but with these removed, you can access the tool-less adjustment dials and get yourself zeroed in.

The illumination dial on the left also serves as the battery compartment, requiring the cap to be unscrewed to install the included CR2032 cell. Once the battery is installed and the cap screwed back on, you can turn the dial to adjust reticle colour and brightness intensity, offering red or green illumination. We prefer red for working in green environments (woodland) and green for dark, indoor environments.

At the very rear of the scope body, you'll find what is known as the "fast focus" dial, hidden beneath the pre-installed polymer flip-caps. The fast focus dial allows you to clarify the image at different ranges, dialling in to suit your eye perfectly. Fast focus is usually not present on affordable optics, giving this LPVO the edge over its cheaper rivals.
