WE Double Barrelled Makarov GBB Pistol

Starting at the front, we can see the two barrels through the front of the double slide, a menacing sight no one wants to see on the field! While each of the outer barrels is threaded, there isn't enough clearance between them to fit a tracer unit or suppressor. With two barrels on board, we don't think you'll need one!

Moving rearwards, we can take note of the open iron sights, centrally positioned atop the slide. These are patterned after the real steel Makarov sights; simple fixed combat sights with a fine front post and a squared notch at the rear. On the left side of the slide, you'll find the manual safety catch. This disables the trigger and locks the slide when pushed upwards.

On each side of the slide, we have serrations at the rear to improve wet weather handling. This is definitely needed on the Double Makarov, as the hefty slide is harder to rack than the usual GBB, especially pulling back two recoil springs. The hammers are positioned at the rear of the frame, a low-snag design with a textured surface for easy recocking.

Like the slide, the frame is made from well-finished alloy, resulting in a hefty, realistic feel, despite the fictional nature of this radical design. The triggers are both double action/single action, meaning you can shoot from the draw with the hammers down, or rack the slide for a shorter and lighter trigger pull. Thankfully, you don't have to pull both triggers at once to shoot; simply press whichever you prefer, and both barrels will shoot with a meaty boom!

The adjustable HOP-up units are accessible with the slide removed, positioned on the top of each outer barrel. To remove the slide, pull both trigger guards down, and with them held in place, pull the slide back slightly, lift the rear up, and remove the slide towards the front. The rotary HOP-up adjusters are on the top of each barrel; turn them to adjust backspin applied to your BBs.

To reinstall the slide, reverse the process. Please note, we found the Double Makarov quite difficult to reassemble due to its width. It's important that the recoil springs are positioned correctly inside the slide, and that the trigger guards are both held in the open position during reinstallation of the slide. If you're struggling to reassemble it, contact us.

Moving rearwards, we come to the grips, styled after the original Makarov PM with the iconic Soviet Star in a roundel on each side. Surrounding the star, we have pyramidal checkering, providing plenty of traction for use in wet weather, with or without gloves.

At the base of the grip, we can find the magazine release, known as a "heel" magazine release, similar to that of the Walther PPK. To release the mag, simply pull the mag release rearwards. To insert, simply slap the mag in. While it may be slower to get at during a frantic mid-game reload, the heel release allows the Makarov to have a more compact form, which definitely doesn't translate over to this double-barreled version, though this one isn't intended for concealed carry!

On the left side of the grip, we're treated to a lanyard loop, allowing a retention lanyard to be fitted so you can tether the Double Makarov to your belt and ensure it doesn't get lost if it falls from your holster.
