Description
If you're into the latest British Military rifle and need a full metal Airsoft version, WELL PRO has you covered with the WE13 M4/AR-15 AEG; WELL PRO ETU (30RPS). Based on a recently developed real steel rifle which now serves with the British Armed Forces, this full metal build has all the details a milsim fan would appreciate and is equipped with impressive pre-upgraded internals rarely found in an AEG at this price point.
Based around an alloy version 2 gearbox, the WE13 is rocking a 35K RPM brushless motor, resulting in an incredible rate of fire of up to 30 rounds per second. Also inside the gearbox is a set of 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 9mm bushings for reduced friction and a reinforced polymer piston head and cylinder head, designed for optimal air-efficiency. If you love top-tier performance with the latest tech inside a cutting-edge external design ideal for milsim, the WELL PRO WE13 M4/AR-15 AEG; WELL PRO ETU (30RPS) should be your next primary!
Starting at the front, we can find a detailed three-prong QDC flash hider made from alloy affixed to 14mm CCW male barrel threading. The QDC flash hider is the perfect starting point for an authentic build, but can easily be replaced with a tracer unit, suppressor or alternative flash hider thanks to the common 14mm CCW barrel threads.
We have had the opportunity to test the pre-installed QDC device with the Angry Gun QDC/MCQ-PRT Suppressor, and it unfortunately does not fit. Fortunately, most suppressors of this type include a compatible flash hider, so there's no need to worry!
Moving rearwards slightly, we come to the URX6-inspired M-LOK handguard, featuring M-LOK negative space attachment slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, with extra M-LOK slots at the offset angles. This allows M-LOK accessories to be placed wherever you prefer, fitting in neatly with modern rifle setups, which encourage offset mounting of flashlights for a sleeker side profile.
The 12 o'clock handguard position features a full-length 20mm Picatinny rail, which seamlessly integrates with the receiver rail, offering a long, uninterrupted rail surface ideally suited to practically any optical sight setup, from an LPVO to a red dot sight and magnifier combo.
Running beneath the handguard, we are treated to a realistic mock gas block and gas tube, a detail often missed from other replicas. While these don't have a function in an Airsoft AEG, they are nevertheless an essential part of a realistic AR-15 build, and one realism fans won't want to miss out on!
As we reach the receiver, we can take note of the HK416-style keyed engagement between the handguard and receiver, ensuring that the handguard will never loosen or rotate, regardless of force applied. As mentioned, the receiver features a 20mm Picatinny rail on its upper surface, ready for your choice of optical sighting system.
The receiver itself keeps the familiar layout of the legacy M4/AR-15 platform but adds ambidextrous fire controls for modern handling and intuitive use by left or right-handed shooters. The charging handle, located at the top rear of the receiver, features dual sided latch, allowing it to be racked from the left or right side with a single finger. Unlike a real AR, you don't need to work the charging handle to load the first round: instead, it opens the dust cover on the right side and retracts the mock bolt carrier, revealing the rotary HOP-up adjuster.
The HOP-up allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your projectiles and tune the WE13 for different ammo weights, looking for the flattest possible trajectory. The WELL PRO unit also features a numerically marked dial, allowing you to track your HOP-up setting for different ammo weights and save time on game day. Once your adjustment is complete, you can hit either of the ambidextrous "ping pong paddle" bolt release catches present on each side to release the mock bolt with a satisfying "clank".
Above the pistol grip, we can find the 3-position fire selector, offering a default configuration of SAFE-SEMI-AUTO with a 90-degree throw between each mode. Like the other fire controls, the selector is present on both sides, ideal for left or right-handed shooters and those who like to use "shoulder-to-shoulder transitions" to make the best use of surrounding cover.
This selector design is modern and enhanced, with grippy serrations on the surface for fast manipulation in wet weather and a scalloped right-side selector to reduce finger fatigue over long durations of use. With the WELL PRO ETU on board, you can also program the fire modes for alternative functions, including burst modes and binary trigger.
The magazine release is also ambidextrous, present on either side of the magazine well, complete with a protective mag release fence surrounding each button to prevent accidental presses. This means you can crank out an emergency reload from either shoulder with absolute ease, perfect for left or right-handed shooters with a tacti-cool playstyle!
Moving down, we come to the pistol grip and trigger guard assembly, featuring an "A2" finger-ridged pistol grip and an enlarged KS-1 style trigger guard. The A2 grip is known for being comfortable for a wide variety of hand sizes and shapes, equipped with a finger ridge to help support the weight of your rifle while held in a "high ready" position. The KS-1-style trigger guard allows plenty of space for full finger gloves, including a textured finger ledge as a helpful index point. The receiver has also been redesigned to facilitate this new trigger guard design, improving strength but preventing the standard M4/AR-15 trigger guard from being fitted.
At the rear, we can find the good old M4/AR-15 buffer tube, with an ambidextrous QD sling plate fitted between it and the receiver. The sling plate allows QD sling swivels to be mounted on either side, ideally placed for a single-point sling setup. In our tests, we found that G&G QD swivels don't fit the sockets, but the HASTA Adaptive Mission Sling Gen.4 is a perfect fit. Whichever QD swivel you choose, we recommend testing whether it fits and locks before applying any weight, just in case.
The prolific Crane stock features comfortable sloped cheek pieces and a rubber butt plate for optimal traction in any weather conditions. Also built into the Crane design are a pair of sling slots for "strap" slings, but you can add a loop of paracord to allow hook slings to be mounted if necessary.
The battery compartment is inside the Crane stock, accessible by squeezing the two tabs at the toe of the stock together, after which you can lift the butt plate off and make use of the stock's built-in battery compartment to house a nunchuck/crane-style battery, or a buffer tube-style stick battery. We recommend an 11.1V 1300mAh LiPo battery in crane/nunchuck configuration for an easy fit and that enemy-shredding 11.1V performance!
Inside, the WE13 is remarkably well equipped for the price, boasting a 6.05mm tightbore inner barrel to enhance accuracy paired with a rotary HOP-up unit. Both the piston and cylinder heads are reinforced and optimised for perfect air seal qualities. The gearset is a standard ratio 18:1 set made from steel, running on 9mm bushings for friction-free performance.
The icing on the cake of the build is its ETU/MOSFET, enhancing trigger response and adding advanced functionality into the mix. The ETU offers options for 3-round burst instead of full auto and binary trigger as an alternative to semi-auto, along with low battery warning, cycle completion, active braking and low/high voltage cutoff. Pre-cocking adjustment is also an option, with 5 levels to choose from, so you can crank trigger response up for CQB.
If you're dusting off your MTP now the British Forces have a cool rifle to run, we don't blame you! Kit yourself out with the WELL PRO WE13 M4/AR-15 AEG; WELL PRO ETU (30RPS) to complete the look and give the enemy what for to the tune of an epic 30 rounds per second!

Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
