Airsoft Inspiration: Kitting Out the EMG Strike Industries SI-90 AEG
SI-90 CQB
WADSN EFLX Micro Red Dot | Olight PL-PRO Valkyrie | Big Dragon Short Foregrip
For our CQB setup, we removed the Strike handguard to save weight and bulk. On the 6 o'clock rail, we added an Olight PL-PRO flashlight with a Short Vertical grip for improved front-end control.
On the sight tower, we've added the compact WADSN EFLX Red Dot Sight to get on target quickly. Up front, the Oppressor compensator stayed put for that menacing, amplified muzzle report. If you prefer to light the enemy up, we suggest the EMG Strike Linear Comp Flare Tracer, keeping the branding and aesthetics consistent with an instinct aiming edge as a bonus!
SI-90 Woodland Warrior
Theta Optics Rhino 4x32 Scope | Element Stubby Vertical Foregrip | WADSN OGL White Light/Laser Module
Our woodland setup leans into long-range engagement, equipped with a Theta Optics Rhino 4x scope, an ACOG equivalent with a more modern look. The front end is also clad with a Stubby Foregrip to allow the front end to be swept between targets double-time.
The handguard stays on with this build, allowing for a 12 o'clock mounting position for a WADSN OGL White Light/Laser module. The OGL suits the SI-90 well in terms of aesthetics and can also be used to point out distant targets for teammates, with its red laser standing out well against a green background.
SI-90 SDMR
HASTA Nebula Mist Tracer Unit | Vector Optics ZOD LPVO Scope | FMA Angled Foregrip | WADSN PEQ-15 Laser/Flashlight
While the real P90 platform certainly isn't a DMR, we've leaned into the 1 shot, 1 kill mindset with our SDMR setup. Outfitted for sneaky play and in-game adaptability, the HASTA Nebula Mist Tracer sits up front, providing stealthy vibes and an immersive firing experience.
Up top, the ZOD compact LPVO scope offers versatility with its adjustable 1-4x zoom, meaning you can handle threats at close or long range. The angled foregrip suits the sleek looks of this build and is the perfect grip for a modern, "C-clamp" style shooting method. The WADSN PEQ-15 means the SDMR is as ready for outdoor gameplay as it is for the cramped confines of a CQB site, offering a bright white light to dazzle the enemy and a red laser for rapid aiming.
SI-90 Alien Slayer
Acetech Volcano Grenade Launcher | Evike Warfare Multi-Reticle Open Reflex Sight | WADSN PEQ-15 Laser/Flashlight
Leaning into the SI-90's sci-fi aesthetic, we kitted this one out for alien slaying, adding the Acetech Volcano 40mm launcher to the front end for close encounters in low-light situations.
Up top, we equipped the Evike Warfare Multi-Reticle Red Dot Sight, as its dynamic modern looks and angled surfaces are a perfect match for the SI-90. The WADSN PEQ-15 is the finishing touch, a white light/red laser combo device with the prerequisite ultra-modern aesthetic.
Wildcard: Metro 2033 Kalash 2012 (if you squint)
Acetech Blaster AK Tracer Unit | Slong Barrel Extension | Cybergun FN Foregrip | JJ Airsoft 1P87 Red Dot Sight
Inspired by one of the most atmospheric video game series we've ever played, our wildcard build is as close to an Airsoft Kalash 2012 from Metro 2033 as you'll get when limited to bolt-on parts. If your Artyom loadout needs a finishing touch, we recommend this!
We added the Acetech Blaster AK Tracer, which closely mimics the AK-74 muzzle brake, a Slong outer barrel extension and an FN Foregrip in our approximate attempt at the Kalash 2012 front end. While it doesn't appear in the game, we added the JJ Airsoft 1P87 Red Dot sight to the top for an extra dose of Russian vibes.
Wedge an AK gas block and cleaning rod onto your barrel extension using an improvised method, and you've practically nailed it!
Now we've got your juices flowing with some practical, tactical and downright crazy build ideas!
