How to Adjust your Vorsk Hi Capa Hop Up

In this PBTV Airsoft Quick Tips video, we will show you how to adjust your VORSK Hi-capa GBB pistol's HOP-up. HOP-up is a miraculous invention conceived by Airsoft giants Tokyo Marui, and uses a principle known as the "Magnus effect" to extend the range of your BBs by applying backspin using a rubber contact surface known as the "HOP-up rubber" or "HOP-up bucking".

These steps apply to all Airsoft Hi-capa GBB pistols which use the Tokyo Marui pattern design, which is the vast majority of them. Whether your Hi-capa is made by VORSK, RAVEN, WE, Army Armament or Tokyo Marui, this guide should give you the knowledge you need to set your 'Capa up for in game domination.

How to adjust the HOP-up of a Hi-capa GBB Pistol:

  1. Remove your magazine and ensure the pistol is not loaded.
  2. Pull the slide back to cock the hammer.
  3. Pull the slide back again so the disassembly notch (the rearmost notch in the slide) aligns with the slide stop
  4. Push the slide stop through from the right side of the pistol
  5. Push the slide off the pistol towards the front
  6. With the slide removed, you can adjust the HOP-up using the dial on the bottom of the outer barrel
  7. Once you are happy with your adjustment you can place the slide back onto the pistol from the front, insert the slide stop and align it with the disassembly notch, then push the slide lock back through to complete reassembly.

The more HOP-up applied, the more backspin is applied to the BB in flight. Having an adjustable HOP-up unit allows you to tune your Airsoft gun for different ammo weights. Regardless of what BB weight you choose, the HOP-up should be set to provide the flattest trajectory possible.
