- Full metal build
- Licensed by B&T via ASG
- Ambi controls, 11.1V LiPo ready
If you need a break from M4s and AKs, check out the ASG B&T APC 556 AEG - FALCON EFCS 3.0! This ultra-modern full metal replica is based on the real steel B&T APC 556, a cutting-edge assault rifle design with ambidextrous fire controls, plenty of 20mm Picatinny rails and an aggressive aesthetic. We like to think of this as the SCAR's better-looking sister!
Inside, the APC 556 has a lot to boast about, equipped with Double Eagle's FALCON EFCS 3.0 programmable MOSFET/ETU, a 21K RPM high-torque motor, 18:1 steel gears running on 8mm ball bearing bushings and a quick-change spring guide for easy power tuning. Another edge the APC 556 has over its rivals is the ability to run an 11.1V LiPo battery straight out of the box, a considerable advantage in terms of trigger response and rate of fire.
The new variant of the FALCON EFCS boasts lower resistance, lower power draw and improved efficiency with plenty of programmable fire mode options, adjustable pre-cocking and 3 trigger sensitivity options. If you're in the mood for something new with superb performance and a mission-ready exterior, the ASG B&T APC 556 AEG - FALCON EFCS 3.0 should be your next primary!

Description
An innovative real steel rifle which has barely cut its teeth, the APC 556 is B&T's answer to the FN SCAR and Sig MCX, a modern, ambidextrous assault rifle design with modularity, ergonomics and robustness as its core design principles. The ASG B&T APC 556 replica mirrors this, boasting a full metal build with plenty of accessory rails, a compact PDW sliding stock and realistic trademarks across the design.
Inside, the APC 556 is based around a version 2 gearbox with an alloy shell, steel 18:1 ratio gears running on 8mm ball bearing bushings and a quick-change spring guide for easy power tuning. A 21K high-torque motor provides the necessary torque and speed, paired with the FALCON EFCS 3.0 MOSFET/ETU system, enhancing electrical efficiency and providing programmable fire modes, adjustable pre-cocking and 3 modes of trigger sensitivity.
Also inside is a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, ensuring you have the inherent accuracy to get the job done at long range. If you want to be the first on your site running the ASG B&T APC 556 AEG - FALCON EFCS 3.0, now is the time!
Starting at the front, we are equipped with an APC 556 flash hider mounted to 14mm CCW male threading at the tip of the outer barrel. The flash hider really suits the modern design language of the build itself, but can easily be swapped out for a tracer or suppressor, thanks to the common 14mm CCW male barrel threads.
Moving rearwards along the "pencil" barrel profile, we reach the mock gas block, slightly inset into the handguard, with the mock gas adjuster protruding above the barrel, a removable part which can be rotated. The mock gas adjuster doesn't serve a purpose in Airsoft terms, but in the real deal, this control allows you to shoot with a suppressor without damaging the action or increasing gas flow to the action for reliable cycling in adverse conditions. Its presence here, complete with realistic markings, makes the APC 556 one of the most authentic replicas out there.
Next up, we reach the handguard, equipped with an integral 20mm Picatinny rail on the top and bottom, with polymer side rails at 3 and 9 o'clock. This makes the APC 556 ready to be kitted out with 20mm Picatinny-compatible accessories, from vertical and angled foregrips to tactical flashlights, lasers and bipods. Included in the box, we are treated to a pair of rail-mounted flip-up aperture sights which are adjustable for both windage and elevation.
The mock gas piston rod and spring are both visible through the handguard ports, amping up realism and avoiding the telltale signs that this is a replica, not the real deal. The handguard connects to the receiver without any interruption in its upper 20mm Picatinny rail surface, allowing for optical sights of practically any length to be mounted wherever you prefer, including red dot sights and magnifier combos. Being keyed into the receiver and secured with torx screws on the top and bottom means, in all likelihood, this handguard will never wobble or flex under normal use.
The upper receiver has a similar layout to the now-ageing SCAR rifle, with a left/right swappable charging handle positioned above the magazine well, allowing for easy manipulation, regardless of whether you are right or left-handed. Pulling the charging handle back will retract the mock bolt carrier on the right side and lock it open, revealing the rotary HOP-up adjuster inside.
The HOP-up allows you to tune the trajectory of your BBs, seeking the flattest possible flightpath with your chosen BB weight. Once you've completed your adjustment, you can hit the bolt release catch on either side, just above the magazine release, to send the mock bolt home with a satisfying "clank".
The magazine release itself is an ambidextrous button release, present on either side with a serrated surface for optimal traction in all weather conditions. This works just like an AR-15 mag release; simply hit the button on either side to drop the magazine. The fire selector switch is also ambidextrous, with a similar switch profile to the legendary MP5 but with an AR-15-like 90-degree throw between each fire mode. The default modes are SAFE, SEMI and FULL AUTO, but being equipped with the FALCON EFCS 3.0 programmable MOSFET, you have several other firemode options built in.
Moving down, we come to the pistol grip, which is integral with the high-density polymer lower receiver, improving strength considerably compared to an M4/AR-15 rifle. The grip is set at a comfortable angle, complete with linear serrations on the front and rear, with a small palm ledge at the bottom to keep your hand in place. The trigger guard is also built in, an enlarged design which allows plenty of clearance for full-finger glove users.
The battery compartment is located inside the receiver, a well-hidden compartment accessible through the rear, just above the stock. To access the compartment, first, extend the stock by pressing upwards on the paddle between the butt plate and receiver. With this done, place a finger inside the U-shaped loop at the rear of the stock base and lift upwards. This should allow the battery compartment to be hinged open. Inside, you'll find a Deans battery connector to which you mount your chosen battery. We recommend an 11.1V 1200mAh LiPo, but most designs for AK "top-wired" AEGs (known as AK Slim Stick configuration) will fit in the APC 556 battery compartment.
The stock itself is a compact PDW stock, with a similar design to the MP5 and aftermarket B&T stocks designed for a variety of platforms. The stock offers 4 adjustment positions so you can get the perfect length of pull for your body type and loadout, equipped with a compact and flat butt plate to minimise snags.
The base of the stock also features a pair of sling loops, one on each side, ideal for single-point slings. These sling points are quite tight, similar to those found on MP5, MP7, and G36 platforms; if you find your sling hardware does not fit the loop, we suggest adding a loop of paracord, a strong keyring or the EmersonGear Universal Sling Adapter.
Inside, the APC 556 has some superb parts straight out of the box, including 18:1 steel gears running on 8mm ball bearing bushings, a quick-change spring guide and a 21K RPM high-torque motor. The real star of the show is the FALCON EFCS 3.0 MOSFET/ETU system, a revamped version of the FALCON found in the UTR 45 and FLCN 5.56 platforms.
The new FALCON offers the same vast number of programmable fire modes, adjustable pre-cocking and adjustable trigger sensitivity as the previous version, but is more efficient and long-lasting than ever before. Thanks to being corrected for angle of engagement (AOE) and equipped with the FALCON, the APC 556 is 11.1V LiPo ready, providing a stunning rate of fire and trigger response, with no reliability sacrifices!
If you're after a primary at the cutting edge of real steel assault rifle design with a full metal build, licensed trademarks and superb internals, your standards sure are high! Thankfully, ASG has done it again with the B&T APC 556 AEG - FALCON EFCS 3.0, an impressive piece of kit with all the boxes ticked.
