- MOSFET Edition
- Low weight - Very agile
- Suppressor and extended 6.03mm tight bore barrel
Ever wanted AK-sized magazines on a rifle that handles like an M4? If so you have found what you need! The CYMA CM.650 is a replica of the SR47 rifle which was designed for special forces troops operating behind enemy lines with limited access to NATO ammunition. The CM.605 is constructed almost entirely from high-density fibre reinforced polymer, with an alloy outer barrel and buffer tube to provide a strong backbone, and boasts more than its fair share of internal enhancements, especially when you consider the price of this AEG!

Description
The CYMA AR47 is a mutant combination of both the AR platform M4 rifles and the venerable AK-47, combining the comfort and familiarity of the AR platform and the massive capacity of Airsoft AK47 magazines. This rifle is based on a concept designed by Knights Armament co, which hybridized the AR platform with the AK's cartridge for operations behind enemy lines with limited access to western ammo. This style of AR15 rifle is becoming increasingly popular on the US civilian market due to the impressive barrier penetration characteristics of the AK cartridge, and its uncanny similarities to the .300 Blackout cartridge, the latest and greatest suppressor optimised AR cartridge.
The outer barrel assembly of the CM.650 is made from alloy to give them a strong and stable core for a wobble-free experience and a solid and dependable feel. The dummy suppressor functions as a barrel extension and is constructed from polymer to keep the front of the rifle light and quick to point. If you want to remove the suppressor this is always an option thanks to the outer barrel 14mm CCW male threading, but you will need a replacement suppressor or barrel extension to hide the extended tight bore inner barrel of the CM.650 and keep the rifle looking realistic.
The handguard is a quad rail design constructed from nylon fibre reinforced polymer, patterned after the real steel KAC RAS free float rail system. The handguard sports 26cm long 20mm Picatinny rails at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions, which is more than enough space for whatever you require to complete your mission, from bipods for more accuracy inclined to grenade launchers for the Schwartzeneggers out there.
The length of this handguard makes it perfect for use with the modern "c-clamp" grip while giving you plenty of room to mount any accessories you see fit. The advantage of a quad rail like this is that you don't need to buy any adapters to mount the most common accessories out there, and despite its full rail configuration the front end remains light and easy to run with all-day thanks to its polymer construction.
The receiver of the AR47 platform is very similar to the M4/AR15 but is enlarged to house the big boy AK47 7.62x39mm style magazines. The CM.650 can also fit AK74 style magazines but they tend to be slightly loose so we recommend sticking to the cooler looking 7.62x39 style designs. The magazine release can be found on the right side of the receiver, on the magazine well, but there is a second magazine release inside the magazine well similarly positioned to an AK for those who prefer this method. This gives both AR and AK users a familiar option when it comes to reloads, and adds flexibility for those of us who are familiar with both platforms.
The fire selector is positioned above the pistol grip on the left side of the receiver and clicks positively into each fire mode with no chance of the selector "walking" out of position under the vibration of firing. The CM.650 has three modes of fire; SAFE, SEMI and AUTO with a 90-degree throw between each mode. This style of fire selector is an enviable part of the M4/AR15 design and is well regarded for the speed and ease of its operation.
The pistol grip of the CM.650 is an M4/M16 style "A2" finger ridged pistol grip, which includes diamond checkered panels on either side and linear texture at the rear to provide ample grip for operating in any weather conditions. The trigger guard is an M4/AR15 style flat trigger guard which can be swapped out for AEG spec trigger guards if you prefer a wider guard or an alternative look. The charging handle of the CM.650 can be found at the top rear of the receiver in the typical location for an M4/AR15 rifle and features a low-profile catch to prevent snags on gear and allow unrestricted movement.
The CM.650 includes a mock bolt release catch and mock forward assist, and though these controls do nothing in Airsoft terms they are an essential touch to keep the rifle looking realistic on the outside. The dummy bolt release can be found in the centre of the left side of the receiver, and the forward assist is located on the right side of the upper receiver, to the rear of the shell deflector.
Both of these dummy controls are separate parts and have a contrasting gunmetal finish applied to make them stand out and avoid the tell-tale monotonous colouration of dummy parts. CYMA is great at this type of detail, and it really elevates the looks of their replicas and makes even lightweight skirmish optimised rifles like this look just like the real thing.
The HOP-up unit of the CM.650 can be found exactly where we would expect it; inside the mock ejection port. The gear style adjuster can be accessed by pulling the charging handle back, which will open the dust cover and retract the mock bolt carrier. The HOP-up allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your BBs to set the rifle up for your ammunition weight of choice. We recommend 0.25g BBs for the CM.650, though you can also use 0.2g for close quarters or slightly heavier weights for longer range shooting.
At the rear of the receiver, we come to the ambidextrous sling plate, which is constructed from steel to provide additional strength where needed. This sling point is ideal for a single-point sling with a "hook" style attachment method, but can also be used with a two-point sling with the addition of a front sling point for 20mm rails (not included). A sling can be mounted to either side of this sling plate, making it a great touch for left and right-handed users alike. This sling plate fits between the receiver and the buffer tube of the CM.650 and can also be swapped for an alternative sling plate if you like to use a QD sling setup or you have a preferred style.
The buffer tube of the CM.650 is constructed from alloy and provides 6 positions of adjustment for the rifle's crane style sliding stock. To adjust the stock all you need to do is press the adjustment lever on the underside and the stock can be pulled out and set to your desired length, allowing you to adapt the rifle to suit your body type and loadout. The stock features a comfortable sloped cheek piece and a rubber butt plate, and also includes sling slots if you prefer to set your CM.650 up with a more traditional sling.
The battery compartment for the CM.605 is located either inside the buffer tube or in the cheek rest of the crane stock, depending on your preference. The buffer tube can be accessed most easily by pulling the stock adjustment lever all the way out and removing the stock to the rear, revealing the Deans battery connector. The Deans connector is a low resistance and compact alternative to the legacy mini-Tamiya connector, and it is a nice touch for future proofing that CYMA decided to go with the more modern connector for this AEG. The buffer tube provides enough space for a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo stick battery, but you can fit a "nun-chuck" style 9.6V 1600mAh NiMH battery inside the crane stock itself if you prefer to have more capacity. The crane stock battery compartment can be accessed by squeezing the two tabs at the toe of the stock together, after which the butt plate and battery compartment plug can be removed.
Internally the CM.650 packs a punch way above what its price point might suggest, sporting a 6.03mm tight bore inner barrel of a respectable length for added accuracy, and a well equipped and smooth running gearbox. The gearbox internals include a CNC machined steel gear set, 8mm steel bushings, an air seal cylinder head and a ball bearing equipped spring guide for reduced stress on the gearbox shell itself.
This gearbox also includes a quick change spring system, meaning if you want to tune the power level of the CM.650 to suit your local site you don't need to disassemble the gearbox itself. To top it all off the CM.650 includes the CYMA MOSFET and microswitch trigger, giving the rifle a swift trigger response in semi-automatic whilst eliminating the possibility of the trigger contacts wearing out over time. The MOSFET also improves the electrical efficiency of the system and gives it an impressive rate of fire in full auto, all while sounding as smooth as glass.
So, whether you are looking for a new AEG that stands out from the crowd and will confuse most who lay eyes on it, the CM.650 would be a great choice. This rifle looks fantastic and would suit any special forces deniable operations loadout or US civilian tactical kit perfectly. From a practical standpoint, this AEG weighs very little whilst maintaining superb strength and scratch resistance thanks to its polymer construction, and would be a fine choice for a performance and practicality focussed skirmisher who wants superb range and impressive accuracy in a package which can be thrown around like a beachball (not literally!).

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
