Top 5 Unique WE Airsoft GBB Pistols

Top 5 Unique WE Airsoft GBB Pistols

From its ever-reliable EU series pistols to its stylish Hi-Capa series, we've all owned a WE GBB pistol at some point in our Airsoft careers.

These are known to be cheap, reliable and upgrade-compatible, but the innovators at WE offer far more variety for those with more unconventional tastes.

Read on to check out what are, in our assessment, are the most unique of WE's GBB pistol lineup!

WE P08 Luger GBB Pistol

One of the world's most iconic pistol shapes and one everyone recognises, the Luger is the classic "bad guy" pistol, with an unmistakable German vibe.

Real Lugers were used by the Wehrmacht during WWII, but also used with suppressors by the British SOE for clandestine operations; the perfect sidearm for an exciting and unique loadout!

WE offers its Luger in a variety of barrel lengths and colour finishes, including the distinctive Gold variant pictured above.

Making use of an unconventional toggle-lock-style blowback system for maximum realism, shooting the Luger feels like no other GBB pistol around, a perfect tribute to one of the most successful firearms designs of all time.

WE CT25 1908 GBB Pistol

WE's CT25 1908 is the world's smallest gas blowback pistol, inspired by the real Browning 1908 "Vest Pocket" pistol, which itself was designed to be easily concealed inside a vest pocket.

WE's CT25 is a full metal build ideal for scenario games and retro gangster loadouts, but its utterly unique design makes it an essential part of any pistol collection.

When we say this pistol is small, we are not exaggerating! Even if your loadout is already a bit busy, you can definitely squeeze the CT25 in as a last-ditch back-up, being barely more than 11cm long.

While it may not be the type of pistol to run as a primary with an HPA adapter, we would love to see it!

WE Hi-Capa Dragon 7.0 Split Slide GBB Pistol

The Dragon 7 is one of WE's most popular Hi-Capa designs, a mighty-looking pistol with an extended railed frame, an aggressive "meat tenderiser" compensator and a split slide for a ferocious cyclic rate.

With a vibe similar to Robocop's "Auto 9", the Dragon 7 feels potent as you sweep between targets, and its intimidating look will have the enemy on the run!

The split slide design reduces the reciprocating mass of the slide, improving gas efficiency while providing a faster cyclic rate and tighter groupings thanks to reduced "cool down" under rapid fire.

While it is its own beast on the outside, the Dragon 7 is compatible with standard TM Hi-Capa 5.1 upgrade parts, giving you loads of upgrade and customisation options.

WE P-Virus Biohazard F226 Custom GBB Pistol

Going toe-to-toe with the Dragon 7 for the title of WE's most aggressive pistol design, the P-Virus Custom is inspired by the popular Resident Evil game series, complete with a threaded breaching compensator, ghost-ring iron sights, a unique flat trigger design and stylish yet comfortable grip panels with an extended mag release catch.

Customised F226 platforms are as rare as hen's teeth, as they're often used with realistic SAS and US Navy SEAL loadouts in a standard milspec configuration.

The P-Virus is both rare and eye-catching, a pistol bound to draw curious eyes in the safe zone. Just remember, if you're running fast with the compensator attached, be mindful of where it's pointing!

WE M712 Broomhandle Mauser GBB Pistol with Stock

A pistol and SMG all in one, WE's Broomhandle Mauser replicates the select-fire M712 variant, with realistic Chinese Mauser markings and a stunning full metal build.

The included stock is quick detachable and can also be used as a holster or storage case, giving you the option to transform the Broomhandle into a compact SMG with full-auto capability.

While Mauser replicas are available from other brands, the WE is the best quality option on the market currently, in our opinion. Its realistic gas blowback action gives it the edge over non-blowback replicas, and its bomb-proof finish is a significant step up from the easily worn finish of other GBB options.

This is also the design which formed the basis for the "Red 9" in the Resident Evil video game series, perfect for your Leon loadout!

Honourable Mentions

WE Double-Barrelled Makarov PM GBB Pistol

From this angle, everything looks normal; a tasteful, well-finished replica of the Soviet Makarov PM with Red Army Star grips and a purely authentic aesthetic. Turn it by a few degrees, and the unique aspect of this pistol becomes very apparent!

Check that out. Not a sight the enemy team will appreciate! While it is far from a practical sidearm, this pistol collection centrepiece is a statement in itself.

If you ever wanted to dual-wield with only one free hand, here is your chance. Not to mention, 2 barrels give you twice the hit probability!

WE M712 Broomhandle Mauser Cavalry Carbine GBBR

We'll be the first to admit we're stretching the definition of a pistol with this one, but being such a mould-breaking platform, it had to be included.

Inspired by the prototype "Kavallerie Karabiner" variant of the C96 Broomhandle Mauser, the Cavalry Carbine takes full advantage of the Mauser design, adding a detachable stock, extended barrel and faux wood handguard.

Unlike the real thing, WE based this unique carbine on the M712 Schnellfeuer select-fire Broomhandle Mauser, meaning it's packing both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire modes.

While it never saw military service, we think this would make a fantastic primary for a post-apocalypse or Battlefield 1-inspired WWI "what if" loadout.

Incredible stuff! While WE's more conventional combat pistol designs like the EU series, 1911, and Hi-Capa series are impressive in their own right, we had to shed light on these lesser-seen but equally impressive platforms.
